‘Luxury Hotel Turns into a Care Home’ – Trud Daily, June 25, 2010
The four-star Hotel Di Mario in Simitli, which was until recently a wonderful destination for balneological and business tourism, was recently launched anew.
Now it bears the name of Zaedno Care Home and its first residents potter about from the rehabilitation center to the bar. Daya Tours, the company that built Di Mario, showed good market acumen and invested in the renovation and upgrading of the hotel into a care home in conformity with all applicable European requirements. The Home has 24 double bedrooms adapted to the needs of seniors. Each of the rooms has air-conditioner, cable TV, phone, Internet connection, en-suite bathroom.
Elderly residents take advantage of the services offered by the physiotherapy, rehabilitation and massage rooms, the gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. They also have a beauty salon. The restaurant and the tavern are places for contacts and fun. The medical team and the care assistants have been specially trained for the job.
Prices are person centered. The base package costs BGN 800 and includes four meals a day, medical examination and 24 hour medical care. The activities and clubs organized by interests are free of charge. The package does not include medicines and sanitary materials, procedures, outings, etc.
’The philosophy of the Home is that everybody deserves dignified old age in a home-like environment', says Mrs. Violina Teodosieva, Manager of the Zaedno Care Home.
